Micha (Mark) Yerushalmi

I was born and raised in Hungary, and made aliya to Israel when I was 18. I studied printing and computer graphics at Hadassah College in Jerusalem, and served 2.5 years in the I.D.F. I studied in the Ohr Somayach and the Tekoa Yeshivas.
When I began studying to become a scribe, I realized that several of my interests (Judaism, art, linguistics) intertwine in the art of a scribe.
I received my sofer diploma in 2005 and my megiah diploma in 2008 from Vaad Mishmeret Stam. In  2012 I received a diploma from rabbi Shammai Kehat Gross, a chief posek in the Belzer Chassidus, both as a sofer and a megiah.
I had the zechus (merit) to take part in checking and restoring 16 old sifrei Torah to date (2012/5772).
I am married to Shana, and father of Aviya, Shraga Feivel Yair, Chayim Yedidya and Shmuel Shmelke. We live in the Kiryat Yovel neighborhood of Jerusalem
